I am saddened at shocked at the murder of Mr Leong. What is happening to Irish society? Since the early ninetie's it has undergone such profound changes it is hard to believe. Many of these changes have been for the worse. Along with the increase in wealth has come an decrease in respect for the law, immigrants, civic responsibility and civil liberties.

I attended a 'Reclaim the Streets' rally in 1992 to protest at the lack of safety for women on the streets of Dublin. It seems that in 10 years we have not moved on, rather Dublin has become a more dangerous place to be.
