RT did an interesting piece on the town of clones where they have decided to use the punt locally to stimulate the local economy. check it out!

Could printing and circulating our own currency in parallel with the euro be part of the solution to the systematic hollowing out of the local economy of Ireland by FG banking / financial terrorist poodles?? Clones residents seem to think so!

Citizens of the small Irish town of Clones revisit pre-euro times, using their old currency to help them through the economic crisis.
