Prof Roger Watson reviews Dr Clare Craig's Spiked: a shot in the dark, a book, he says, that even as a lockdown sceptic and someone with a son who had a stroke because of the Pfizer vaccine, was still a marmalade dropper.

Resisting G8 Oppression – Presenting Alternatives

Monday 17th June
Afternoon Action
Protest On The Lough

A Flotilla of Protesters will take to the Lough – we expect this to happen around 4pm.
We are hoping to have a music/cultural event to accompany this event and will provide more details as they emerge.

Main Event: Protest March

Time: 6.30pm

Starting at: Enniskillen Library and walking around the Island of Enniskillen, through the main town and out to the Security Fence at road to the Lough Erne Hotel (approximately 2.5 miles). Rally at the Fence to follow. We will then make our way back into Enniskillen Public Library.

We anticipate that parking for march participants will be provided at two sites in Enniskillen and we will communicate these and directions to you as soon as they are confirmed.

Environmental issues specifically the threat of Fracking will be one of the main themes of the actions that we are organising but we respect everyone’s right to peaceful protest and recognise that group’s will have their own reasons to oppose the G8.

Fermanagh G8 Not Welcome welcomes all groups on our parade provided that they are non-sectarian and accept the need for an inclusive approach allowing the participation of both local communities.

We ask that all participants on the parade behave throughout in a peaceful manner which will focus the media’s attention on the issues concerned as opposed to a negative image. We want to encourage local people to join the protests against the G8 and to counter police and media scare stories which are designed to discourage people from taking up their legitimate right to protest this event.
