DRAWING OUR OWN CONCLUSIONS on MAY 25
A gathering in the anarchic spirit of reclaim the streets, where we will explore the possibilities of using pavement art to make political statements, and taking back space stolen from us by capitalism for creative and autonomous action
There will be a workshop, based as always on the principles of consensus and non-hierarchical organising, where we will explore issues important to our struggles as revolutionaries through the medium of street art. central to this wil be our illustrations of capitalist invasion and its opposite, the “great refusal,” and how both impact all areas of our lives
other projects on the agenda include….
"normal is ..." - a critique of the damaging social constructs of the categories of 'normal'/'abnormal'
'illustrating total liberation' - exploring interconnected oppressions, reaching a holistic understanding of the links between them, and finding new means of radical resistance
'solidarity - the driving power of liberation ' - empowering one another and all oppressed people through empathetic and practical expressions of solidarity
there will also be time for sharing personal stories and experiences of living in and resisting a violent and oppressive society, an ideas and plans for practical action.
we aim to create a space where we can reinterpret the meaning of community and collective struggle
folks who don’t identify as anarchists are also welcome to this space - bring only creativity, idealism, and respect!
