News from the Civil Public and Services Union (CPSU) in An Post

Limited industrial action from today in An Post until the management of An Post start suspending people and then we'll be on a full scale strike.

As part of the Civil Public and Services Union's (CPSU) campaign for a successful negotiation of the Clerical Grade and Pay Review in An Post and following the failure of the management of An Post to engage in constructive negotiations on same, a ballot for limited industrial action in An Post took place and there was overwhelming support for the limited industrial action (83% in favour and 17% against). Following the result of this ballot notice was served on the management of An Post, which expired today, Monday, August 26TH. The industrial from that date (today) includes:
- No further co-operation with workplace changes
- A ban on new systems, services and organisational or technological change
- A refusal to relocate from College House or Andrew Street to the GPO
- No relocation of staff within the GPO associated with the proposed closure of College House

The primary focus of the first phase of the limited industrial action is for members not to co-operate with the move from College House/Andrew Street. Other than that members are advised to continue to work normally.

Best of luck to the an Post workers.

I really miss the CPSU, a fighting union.
