Latin America Week (LAW) - Events 2016

Human Safety or State Security? The global migrant crisis from a Latin American perspective.
A series of events around Ireland focusing on Latin America. Talks, documentary screening, music...

LASC Latin America Week this year will focus on the migrant and humanitarian crisis in Europe and Central America/Mexico. Events around Ireland will highlight the links between similar realities in two different areas of the globe.

Wednesday 20th April: Event: Fernando López concert: Corazón Ixil. 8pm @Beerhouse

- LR duo is a 2 piece band that performs a very extensive and special repertoire with the most popular Bossa Nova and Jazz Standard tunes, interpreted in English and also Portuguese. You can see more about them here. http://www.facebook.com/lrproject

- The great Guatemalan Troubadour Fernando López with his concert Corazón Ixil.

Fernando is a renowned Guatemalan songwriter who is committed to social justice through his songs. His songs have been sung to celebrate the guilty veredict of Rios Montt.

They will be performing on Wednesday the 20th at 7.30 in the Beerhouse (84.5 Capel Street Dublin 1)
