The people of Puerto Rico, already subjected to colonial bondage to US imperialism, have been further subjected to a horrendous assault on their sovereignty, their health, their environmental well being, and their civil liberties and human rights. They need the assistance of all opponents of imperialism--of all those who are themselves concerned with civil rights and social justice in their own communities and their own lives.

Comrades, friends, a chairde,

The people of Puerto Rico, already subjected to colonial bondage to US imperialism, have been further subjected to a horrendous assault on their
sovereignty, their health, their environmental well being, and their civil liberties and human rights. They need the assistance of all opponents of imperialism--of all those who are themselves concerned with civil rights and social justice in their own communities and their own lives.

On Tuesday of this week, the US regime intends to resume bombing, for 21 days thereafter, on the island of Viegues in an act of blatant disregard
for the democratic wishes of the people of Puerto Rico. Below is a messsage from Viegues activists in Puerto Rico, describing forms of support they are seeking from the progressive community. Please do not disspoint them.

Please send an email to President Bush asking that he order an end the Navy bombing in Vieques. (president@whitehouse.gov) Please send a fax to protest that Robert Rabin was put in solitary confinement last Tuesday. They had already cut off his phone calls and visits. He had announced his intentions to hold a liquid fast during the 21 days of bombing before he was sent to the "hole".
