I am sure that the city centre association will have something to say about this. The reason that these people are “homeless” is because they are shiftless, work-shy and devoid of any business skills. We all have a responsibility to help ourselves. I do hope that the police take action if there is a repeat of the lawlessness that took place during the so-called “reclaim the streets” anarchy.
In our society everyone has the right to protest. Homeless people have been continually ignored by successive governments and we've now got to the stage where Dublin has the highest rate of homelessness per capita in Europe and still nothing is done. So I say fair play to them, take to the streets and make their voices heard. One last point the only lawlessness committed at RTS was by the boys in blue, you Mr. O Laoire obviously weren't there so shut it with these crazy statements!
What a pity the organisers of this march have not notified the Police (I reng them to check). Have they no responsibility for the safety of the people who are going to march. Do you expect traffic to stop for people marching with no police escort?? The lunatics on our roads would run you down. I can only assume this was organised by irresponsible individuals.

ignore the cranks.
some of them don't realise that this is a "radical" site; dedicated to the "passionate telling of the truth".
they should fuck off to
www.yuppiescumrus.westbitain
Well said Ronan and Pat C and fuck the cranks and the begrudgers. I suppose those who become homeless because of soaring rents and housing prices are somehow 'lazy' and it is their fault that they've been fucked out onto the streets? Don't hold your breath waiting on a response from these cranks though.
Um, I am alone in thinking this comment (the first one) was meant to be sarcastic? Sheesh, some of you guys need to lighten up a little.
chris
You are absolutely correct, I was being sarcastic. I wish the people on the march the very best, I hope the turnout is massive.
How could you not tell the sarcasm? Ye take yourselves pretty seriously on this site dont ye?
Both Pat and Paul had their sense of humour removed so it could be studied and learned from.
We can only sympathise and admire this brave move and help them through this difficult time when they're going to be humourless dull fucking arseholes
any chance of a report from the march for those of us who couldn't make it?
I should add and I know this will be unpopular with all those namby pamby bleeding heart liberals on this site; Yes I do believe that many of the homeless are the authors of their own misfortunes; ie for those of you too thick to understand it is the homeless themselves who are responsible for been homeless and I'm getting sick and tired of all those bums begging me for money to feed their drug and drink habits. Indeed I'm warning any bums that come near me again I'll have no hesitation in attacking them. Is that understood by all of you wimpy liberals and hippies?
Also be pointed out that the author of the above comment is not me.
