This bucko is wrapped up in Funding the U.S. 'selected' President, in securing perks such as an ambassadorship despite no political experience, and in dirty dirty Enron. I guess he feels at home in our new Erron.

Then there's Richard J. Egan, the man slated to be our next Ambassador to Ireland. According to the Associated Press, Egan gave $338,100 to Republican committees and candidates during the last election cycle, $250,000 of which was a soft-money contribution to the Republican National Committee. Was Mr. Egan's "goal in making donations" to secure an ambassadorship? Did anyone in the Bush White House know that Mr. Egan was a big donor to the party when they proposed and/or signed off on his name for this ambassadorship, and was that knowledge taken into account when making the appointment? That's about a $30 million investigation right there.
