Impressive turnout of 150 people.
There was what I felt to be a very impressive turnout of about 150 people at the protest against the PSNI/RUC raids in Stormont. We ended up running out of placards and leaflets far too quickly and several cumainn brought their own banners. There was a large media presence with RTE, TV3, a host of photographers and a few of the radio stations present. Ográ members blew whistles until threatened to stop and there were remarks from Aengus O'Snodaigh TD, Míchael MacDonncha, and Ciaran Doherty of Ográ Shinn Féin. Pics and a fuller account available in this week's An Phoblacht.
