Stop parasitising Indymedia.ie You posted a link to same story yesterday and the fact that a few people have logged onto your site doesn't mean that you should selfishly obstruct indymedia.ie newswire. You are more likely to raise ire and a determination to boycott your site than anything else.
Is this not a news site? I thought publishing links to news articles was what this site was all about?
I thought that the feedback from the Argentine/Irish people was an interesting and worthwhile topic. Obviously you didn't, I've no problem with that.
I'll continue to add any articles I think deserve attention, if you dont want to read them then you dont have to, whats the problem?
You posted a link to the same piece of news yesterday. That would make the information "olds", not "news". It also makes it spam. It means that you are _abusing_ the indymedia.ie newswire. If you think that gains you readers then you should really think again. Everytime an article is posted onto the newswire another gets pushed off the front page. If you post your own two articles with essentially the same content then you are essentially crowding out another post. What will you post next? "Another person commented on my article"?
My apologies
I take your point that it is essentially the same article, - however there was a large response to that article from Argentinian/Irish people which I thought was interesting and worth sharing. I'm not trying to abuse the newswire or purposly annoy you, none of them are 'my articles'.
There has been a lot worse appearing on the newswire at times so I dont see why you have such a hump over this. If you dont like the site then you dont have to read it.Either way I wont 'double post' again.
Hey don't listen to phuq hedd - i thought the link was interesting and relevant.
perhaps a quote from one of the comments would have made it more useful. But I saw nothing wrong with it and it certainly is not 'SPAM' - especially considering that it is a non-commercial website. (even if it was a commercial website, it still would not be SPAM).
lisa
You have to watch your Ps and Qs with the anarcho-thought-police round here!!!
Lisa, jack, I posted twice on the exact same article and by any reasonable definition I was selfish and stupid for doing so. I've already made my apology, now let's let this rest. Theres more important news going on like the Shannon demonstration and the No to Nice campaign. IMCIreland should be concentrating on exposing the militarism of the government and how little trust we can put in them.
I'd just like to point out that I didn't make the comment above entitled 'Phuq Head is right'. That's all a bit childish isn't it?
The anarchist-thought-police will stop at nothing
You must worship at the feet of the Gods of Chaos of IMC! If you don't you will be exterminated! If I don't get you, then Dtandard Retort will!
Exterminate!
Exterminate!
