Jump To Comment: 1particularly the bit about
"singing a new song"
and "everything that hath breath praise"
and "bind their kings with chains and thier nobles with links of iron"
Though I suppose that´s not the way to read religous texts.
Pacifism and Anarcho-syndicalism have long been associated.
Where as religion and probably more accurately religious "sponsered /protected" abuse of the poor /young has turned most anarchists against religion, there are obvious common areas of ground.
The Church of England Vicar who gave us as squat resistance organisers his parish hall, did so as a "concerned christian" though most present were anarchists. I believe one of the 39 articles of faith signed by Cof E vicars proscribes non-belief in Property. But still we used to have interesting chats about it.
Rev. Kendle, if you´re still logging on to indymedia, thank you for the support. Most of the 9000 people were rehoused. Some unfortuantely suffered greatly. 30 died through drug mis-adventure.
