NO researchers are very poor and have short memories

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Saturday October 19, 2002 14:35author by goldfish attention span

Compare the yes promises and statements from previous EU referenda and see all their lies over the years.

My old fella told me he voted yes to joining the 'Common Market' and now regrets it, he was lied to by Jack Lynch and Garrett Fitzgerald and the labour leaders who said that any talk of a european army was 'scaremongering by NO campaigners. Can no one on the No side do some research and find these old statements? they would make explosive and contradictory reading.

and the goldfish belonging to the Carp family is an often maligned fish.
We know from testing goldfish with rigour over the years that there mnemonic skills are greatly underestimated.
They remember even on occasion are know to have
"MATURE RECOLLECTION", its just that being underestimated creatures they develop tactics.
or something like that.
i´ve forgotten...

He is thick skinned but it might taked the smug grin off his face to be faced with his own statements from not so long ago when he was in anti eu mode. The grounds for his trenchant criticisms from a few years ago are still there as well.

Yes this kind of research needs to be done, it would clearly show up the lies, contradictions and propaganda carried out by the Yes men over a 30 year period, it would be a real eye opener too.

De Rossa burned all his files in a huge bonfire in his back garden in 1992. He also disclaimed anything he ever said as a member of the Workers' Party. Pity he didn't burn himself.

De Rossa might have betrayed all his principles and burned his files but his own words are still around to haunt him. So lets hope Coughlan or someone does the research before the next EU referendum in 2004.

De rossa is a cynical politican who has renaged on everything he claimed to have have ever stood for, maybe he never believed in any of it anyway, and just wanted easy money and a big pension. But the research needs to be much wider than a miserable self serving politican like DE Rossa, exactly what Cosgrave, O Leary, Lynch and all the others promised us about never joining military alliances needs to be unearthed and then the truth will be visable.
