Curfew lifted in Ramallah

Night curfew was lifted on wedenesday last - the first day of Ramadan - in Ramallah, for the first time since June 23, 2002. Checkpoints remain around the city. Entry and exit still restricted. Students still having their id cards ripped up by soldiers to prevent their movement.
