Galliagh Community Has Suffered Enough

The IRSP in Derry, and in the Galliagh area in particular, stand full
square behind any community attempts to rid the area of the scourge
of RUC inspired anti-community behaviour.

We had the brutal attack on a Galliagh woman a few nights back and
the brutal murder of Mark Robinson in the same area one year ago. We
see nightly occurences of so-called joy riding and burglaries. We
have seen the destruction of property and the intimidation of local
people. All these attacks have been carried out by anti-community
elements from within.

The community in Galliagh has suffered enough and it is time their
suffering stopped!

Just last week we revealed how the RUC are actively recruiting child
car thieves to act as spies within nationalist areas.

The IRSP in the area are aware of the identities of the small number
of thugs who regularly use the Galliagh estate as a race track and we
have been literally inundated with complaints and demands for action
to be taken against those involved.

The IRSP warn those involved in this behaviour to immediately stop
terrorising the community in which they live. The anger within the
estate is such that these attacks on the community will not go
unanswered in future.
