Bastion of 'free speech' and 'academic freedom' caves to 'ZioNazi' demands
Oxford poet Tom Paulin was invited to talk at Harvard. He had expressed the view that Jewish "settlers" were "Nazis" an anit-freespeech pressure group at Harvard has succeeded in having him his invitation withdrawn. This is the latest in a long line of pro-Zionist campaigns to censor critics of their genocidal and illegal actions against the Palestinian people.http://education.guardian.co.uk/higher/worldwide/story/0,9959,801695,00.html
You can mail the English department at Harvard university to let them know what you think of their pusillanimous and partisan actions at:
Lawrence Buell (chair): lbuell@fas.harvard.edu
Interestingly the only quote from someone that took part in protests against Paulin says that she Rita Goldberg) supports his right to free speech and then calls what Paulin has said "hate speech". Is she perhaps speaking out of both sides of her mouth?
A quote from the article from an anti-censorship Zionist:
Mr Paulin did not respond to emails or phone calls yesterday, and a spokeswoman for the Columbia English department said he was unavailable. But his Columbia colleague Jim Shapiro condemned Harvard's actions as "disastrous".
"I say this as somebody who is a Zionist, who teaches Jewish studies, who has opposed petitions on my campus for the university to divest from Israel," he said. "The idea of rescinding an invitation because someone has not passed a political litmus test establishes a very dangerous precedent.
