We, some of the people which came to Prague in these days to oppose the NATO, militarism and capitalism, would like to tell to everyone around the world ...

... you can believe it or not. We can not even compare it to what was going on in that city two years ago (during IMF and World Bank summit) or in Genova in days /hours before protest started. The hundreds of undercovered policemen are agressivly watching people, checking their ID´s and passports several times per day, permanently monitoring, harassing and frightening. The whole repression are not limited just to activists but affects all these people who doesn´t fit into neoliberal vision of society. Everything is done with media aprobation which are informing basicly about â??police taking care of Pragueâ??. There is a silence in mainstream media about real face of this total control state. We, activists, are under terrible pressure non stop. There is no space in Prague you can feel private, relax or save. Streets, pubs, restaurants, trams, tram stations, hostels, flats, infopints, etc. are under control, invigilation and monitoring. On every corner you can see groups of 10-15 fully armed policemen. To get into Convergence Center, which is a greate place by the way, activists need to show their ID´s twice (in the gate and at the doors !!!). Every police patrol has a video camera so a nightmare of Big Brother have reached its â??reality pickâ?? here. The situation is horrible even if untill now there were not many arrestmants or cases of beating people up. The OPH (legal observers) seem to do their best by watching those activities of police, but it´s so massive that there is no possibility to be everywhere. There is even no sens to mantion about situation on the Czech borders. ..

There is more and more activists coming to Prague, specialy from central and eastern Europe, no matter of all repression we have to face here. Whatever police and authorities will do they will never break our resistance. We are going to carry out all of the actions we have planed and we are plannig more...

We know it will be a hard time but we hope that many of you are still going to join us. We now very well that for various reasons many of you can not come here, so we call you for solidarity actions wherever you are !!!
