17,000 security forces vs 1000+ demonstrators S26 11,000 security forces vs 9000 demonstrators Wouldnt it be surreal if there were 17,000 security Forces and one demonstrator.
Some 1000 activists gather to start the centralized action of today. Aong them many anarchists, but also some communists and people from Attac. The point where they start the manifestation is close to the Red Zone. Only a few organizers know the exact way that the protesters will follow. There are a lot of national and international journalists. They behave in quite a sensational way: filming the protesters in close up and jumping all together on everybody who dares to make some noise. The police is very visible. There are many tchechian banners. Some English banners say: "No blood for oil" and "Boycot USA".
The protesters now (3pm) join another group of 150 anarchists. They are singing: "We all live in a terrorist regime" on the tones of the famous Beatles song "Yellow Submarine".

Prague police stop & search anarchists
by Des Troy Power 6:07am Thu Nov 21 '02
NATO summit: Police continue to search for suspected indymedia activists. Internet cafes have been visited and threatened with closure. Undercover police have been operating amongst the small crowds of protestors, candidly photographing all photographers not wearing the 'official' orange press tabard.
Opposition to the NATO Summit has been low-key and muted, with only several hundred demonstrators turning out for the protests, outnumbered and surrounded by police and security forces. Suspected 'Black Block' anarchists have been stopped and searched within the city centre.
