On Wednesday, December 4th at 7.30pm in Liberty Hall there will be a public meeting about the US military use of Shannon airport.
Speakers are:
Eoin Dubsky (Refuelling Peace).
Eoin is the anti-war activist being prosecuted for spray painting a US military plane at Shannon Airport.
Farah Mokhtare Izadeh An activist against the anti-civilian sanctions on Iraq, recently returned from the 'Voices in the Wilderness' delegation to Iraq and Palestine.
Ciaron O'Reilly (Catholic Worker) Christian anti-war activist, recently profiled on RTE's 'Would You Believe'.
Chekov Feeney (Grassroots Gathering)
A member of the Dublin organising group for the December 8th protest at Shannon.

Someone told me that they heard on the news that it has been discovered under the Freedom of Information
Act that the cost to the taxpayer for the privilege of allowing US warplanes to land at Shannon is over
1 million Euros per year. Presumably the US does not have to pay landing charges or something and the
Irish government are paying Aer Rianta the shortfall.
Can anyone confirm the details of this story?
