Most of us probably feel that U.S. media is completely state-controlled and contains no worthwhile information. Mostly this is true, however there is at least one brave lone voice on the airwaves in the U.S. "Democracy Now!" hosted by Amy Goodman is carried on the Pacifica Network (an anti-war radio network founded decades ago by pacifist anarchists and communists).
It would be great if Indymedia.ie were able to mirror some of the RealAudio and mp3 archives of "Democracy Now!". As an example of some of the show's content, today (April 16th) there was a debate among American Jewish intellectuals addressing the question "whether criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic". Yesterday (April 15th) covered the first live broadcast from an un-accompanied reporter inside Jenin and a report from inside Arafat's compound.
As it is you can go to http://www.democracynow.org and click on the mp3 or RealAudio links.
This is one of the best radio shows for current events in the world.
