Attac Denmark, along with a number of other groups, will have a Helpcenter available during the Copenhagen summit to provide assistance to any activists who are denied entry to Denmark by the Police.

Dear Friends,

ATTAC in Denmark has, along with other organisations, set up a helpcenter for those who should be so unfortunate as to be turned away at the border. It's a real risk as the police here have expressed, and already shown, that they will be very strict on who they allow into Denmark during the Summit. "Parliamentary shields" have been established at several border crossings. The shields consists of parliamentarians and lawyers who oversee that participators are not turned away without due course.

One major gathering point will be Flensborg at 16 o'clock on Thursday. At that time you should be able to get assistance.

If you are detained or not allowed to enter Denmark, you can call the helpcenter at (+45) 2657 1297. We will then try to contact other people at the border crossing, contact lawyers here and inform the press about what's going on. You have the right to know why you are
being detained and if you're arrested, the reasons for arrest must be communicated to you in a language you understand.

The only information you have to give is; Who you are, Where you live, What funds you have to pay for your stay and where in Denmark you intend to stay. If you do not have a place to stay then give the following address; NGO Center Housing Facility - Magretheholmen, Christianshavn.

Please note that;

Masks for covering your faces during demonstrations, are not allowed in Denmark Knives more than 7 cm. long and operational by one hand only are not allowed in Denmark! (Not that we expect people to bring knives, but now you know.)

We hope to see you all in Copenhagen on Thursday and look forward to great manifestation for "Another World".

Best regards,

Michael Allan
