Not saying Titanic was the best film ever but hasn it escaped you guy's knowledge that there is a significant class conflict in Titanic? Or maybe Titanic isn't 'politically correct' enough for ye'se in the 1st place? Just because everything thing isn't written to the gospel according to Joe Higgins doen't mean that it's wrong or we can't do something. I've had enough of you 'politically correct' types. For a party that supposedly supports freedom, tolerance and democracy, ye'se can be very intolerant and autocratic at times. Just look at your rants Des re Isreali and the holocaust in a recent article on the newswire where you were demanding that comments be deleted coz they didn't argee with your views. Basically you are calling for censorship.
Re “Titanic”, my interest in the “culture” that emanates from Hollywood is virtually nil. Re “censorship”, I suggest you undertake further study of the comment I made regarding the Alan Dershowitz post, a post that was on many points factually inaccurate and basically a very poor example of Zionist propaganda. In my comment, I stated that the post should NOT be deleted. I have never at any time called for posts or comments to be deleted because I disagreed with the points of view expressed, however I am implacably opposed to all forms of racism. Some comments re the Dershowitz post were clearly racist (anti Semitic) and a gross insult to the memory of the millions of Jewish people murdered by the German fascists. For that reason, and in accordance with IMC guidelines, I called for certain comments to be deleted. For further information re the guidelines, I suggest you contact the IMC collective.

What about Michael Moore's excellent films, or are you just engaging in naked anti americanism for the sake of it? No doubt youre the same sad bunch of people who think "James Bond" should be banned. Why dont you all just learn to enjoy yourselves a little bit. Also why dont just come out and be honest Des and say youre a member of the Socialist Party. One other thing kev the next time youre writing an article or posting a comment at least go to the bother of proof reading it first and doing a spell check. For example you spelt first as "firts". I mean its not just one letter out but it even looks completely different even at a very quick glance.
Michael Moore's most recent film is the absolutely excellent but also bittersweet, humorous and, at the same time, upsetting commentary on guns and killing in America. No doubt our comrades in the Socialist Party will say Bowling For Columbine is also shit because it doesn't subscribe to the Socialist Party's uptopian paradise view of the world.
Notice the Socialist Party rent a mob have gone very quiet now that they see they're not having it all their way. Bodes very bad for the future of democracy in our country if they ever got into power.

first off in relation to Titanic, or shiteanic, I said it was a piece of shit. hmmm, thats my view of the film, and yes i have seen it before, and i thought it was crap, really crap. fuck the 'class conflict' issues involved. it was a bad film, a love story that fialed to hold my interest, and was waaay to long. From what I recall, a night to remember was a much better film. As for calling for other films to be banned because they "dont fit the socailist party line" (whatever that means)... oh come on. your just trying to wind me up arent ya? I haven't seen Bowling, i'm sure it's pretty good, i'm waiting for the video (or a copy, whichever comes first). actually i think michael moore is a funny guy, and raises important issues, though i may not agree with all of his conclusions. shock horror. now i cant remember what the other point raised was, so i have to go back and check the thread...
