Not News: Translating tools for the monolinguist (or poorly pluralist)

Translate

I came across this translating site that is actually quite good. Some time ago I posted information to indymedia.ie on the Babel Fish translator that is available from Altavista (http://babelfish.altavista.com/). While this is good, many words are left untranslated or are thrown about all over the place, making coherence difficult.
Then comes this on: http://www.freetranslation.com/
Now I'm not trying to advertise this site. Just passing on information as I know many of you try to access sites that are non-english based. But one of the problems with this site is that it only translates to/from the colonial languages, making translations of regional dialects a little messy. But it is still better than the altavista tool.
I hope it helps.
