Campaign Against The Bin Tax
Please try to attend this protest. According to the Irish Times today Fine Gael are definitely imposing a whip and their 9 councillors will have to be there and have to vote against. So, unless a very sneaky deal is made, the meeting should be interesting! DON'T PANIC • DON'T PAY •
Picket of City Hall
(Lord Edward Street, Dublin 2)
Thursday 16th January at 6:15pm
Thursday night, or D-Day, fast approaches for the bin-tax.
The City Council will be hauled in again to go over the estimates for the this year. There is a big rumour flying about that there is going to be some deal hobbled together at the last minute to stop the council from being aboloished.
This means that they have to over turn the 27 - 22 voted against the bin tax on the meeting of the 29th of December in City hall.
The Dublin Anti-Bin Tax Campaign is organising a demonstration outside City Hall (Lord Edward Street - Dublin 2) from 18.15hrs on this Thursday evening (Jan 16th).
Please try and ensure that your area is represented at this demonstration.
There is also a meeting in the Teachers Club for 19.30hrs on the following Monday (Jan 20th) to which Dublin activists are invited to discuss our strategy following on from whatever happens this Thursday in City Hall.
