I'm just wondering if anyone else found that the use of the 'Mission Impossible' soundtrack for the piece last night about messrs. Kitt and O'Higgins going out to Iraq offensive? I'm not normally troubled by such trivialities, but I think a diplomatic mission of such relative importance should be part of the 'serious news', and not the light relief at the end.

Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4Just remember that TV3 is not a public service, Its part owned by a canadian marketing company among others. TV3 is merely another corporate-run subsidiary of the world News propaganda service, there to spread lies, disinformation and bewilderment, tabloid TV,..ITV for the irish 'market'.
The "music" was an attempt by our "free media" to belittle a relatively important visit that might play a small role in preventing further loss of life in Iraq. Our "public service" broadcaster is no better.
TV3 is part owned by CanWest Global which owns a substantial portion of media here, including a whole range of frighteningly conservative TV stations, and a national daily The National Post (nationalpost.ca) that consistently misrepresents dissenting voices.
Also the scheduling on their TV channels is more or less identical to TV3, Friends, Raymond, bad made-for-TV movies, etc.
