A 5.5-mile family-friendly peace walk from the Shannon River at Bunratty Castle to Shannon Airport will take place tomorrow. Walkers meet at the carpark next to Bunratty Castle, leaving at 12 midday and arriving at the airport at 2pm. Alternatively, people can join walkers at the airport at 2pm where there will be music, poetry and talk.

Performance artists include Luka Bloom and Glen Hansard. Luka Bloom's latest single, 'I am not at war with anyone', was written and produced especially for this occasion. It is not for sale and has been released this week for nationwide radio-play. Glen Hansard, lead singer with The Frames, will also perform.

Shuttle buses will bring people back to Bunratty Castle from the airport.

This walk is to encourage Irish people to make a stand in the hope that war on Iraq can be averted. It is supported by Afri and the NGO Peace Alliance.
