A former Labour councellor from Tallaght left an anti-war meeting last night just before it was about to start
I was at an anti-war meeting in Tallaght last night, it was fairly small but it was good to meet some anti-war people in the area. Sean Crowe (Sinn Féin TD), Mick Murphy (SP) and Donal McCarry (SWP) spoke at the meeting. Don Tipping from the Labour party was meant to be the first speaker, he was seen standing outside the room at about 7.50 (meeting started at 8.00) but then amazingly he left before the meeting got going and didn't even say a word to anyone! I presume he say the small size of the crowd and decided that this particular band-wagon wasn't big enough for him to pretend that he and the Labour party (excluding Micheal D?)is against the war and not just looking for votes.
