Violating Geneva Convention planned by US, Depleted Uranium and Nuclear weapons
The US radio show Democracy Now!, features as a theme the health and humanitarian effects of the ongoing Gulf War and the refusal of the Bush administration to support the rescue workers of 9-11 who are now seriously ill (all during the disaster people that tried to highlight the environmental dangers of the burning Twin Towers were dismissed as whackos).
Today's episode (Jan 31st) contains interviews with Hans von Sponeck about the US's planned targetting of civilian infrastructure. It also contains interviews with Dr.Chris Busby concerning dramatically upwardly revised estimates of the effects of Depleted Uranium (used in shells for its hardness). He also makes a reference to the effect of Sellafield which may be of interest to some.
Other topics included the proposed use of nuclear weapons on Iraq by William Arkin (Los Angeles Times, ex-CIA analyst) and challenges to the accusation that Hussein used chemical weapons against "his own people".
