The disgusting nudist protesters against the war in Central Park are a warning about the lengths that these dangerous people will go to in order to weaken and attack the USA. This ranks together with the outrageous decision by France and Germany to withold military support to the USA and Britain and Turkey and our Eastern European NATO allies, and is a blatant attempt to sabotage the war effort.
Ireland must use all its influence to convince the French and the Germans that this is un acceptable behaviour in the New Europe we now find ourselves in. It is simply a matter of time before the new applicant countries from Eastern Europe and Turkey together with the British and Irish puts an end to this anti americanism and fully backs the USA in all coming wars including the ones to free Korea, Iran and red China.
In this way Ireland could make ammends for the damage caused to the US aircraft and the forcing of up to one third of US troop flights to travel via Frankfurt. I welcome the fact that the Government scared off the peace nuts before the other two thirds were also forced to go elsewhere. However these nuts will always be a threat while Irish neutrality remains, when it is gone they will simply be traitors. Just like the nudist perverts who ran around central park totally naked! This kind of unacceptable behaviour undermines faith in our fighting boys and is what groups such as The Sexual Freedom League and Abbie Hoffman and the yippies used sucessfully to undermine the support that existed for the Vietnam war. I accept that the irish protesters will not go as far as nudity in a Catholic country but they still pose a threat to the morals of the young and impressionable and if they gain support they will oppose all future wars even if neutrality together with "Old Europe" meets its well deserved end in the new EU and world order of the near future.

Don't come crying to us if your pals in NATO won't play ball, Irish GI.
And good luck if you take on China. You'll need it.
Poor Mr G.I. is unduly worrying himself there is not the remotest chance of the Greens or the SWP or the SP having a 'nudist' protest such as happened in Japan Australia or Central Park, they are neither that immaginative or adventurous and all you are likely to have to put up with is some boring SWP slogans booming through an anaudible loudhailer! Now that is not so bad is it? We should all be used to that after all.

My goodness this must be disgusting: nudist anti war people protesting against war and even worse getting loads of media coverage by doing so! What we really need is more wholesome media pictures of blown off limbs and disembowled bodies in Iraq, Vietnam and Yugoslavia and other countries victims of the rampaging GI's.

Today Irish GI exposes the threat nudity poses to the political establishment and the war machine. Sabotage no less. Although I thought you only had to expose your feet for that.
Tomorrow we will have an expose of how cut flowers destabilise society and later on in the week how vegetarianism is responsible for hospital waiting lists. Then finally society will wake up to the hippy menace. Just a pity all the hippies are long gone, really.
when eye first encountered Irish G.I. , I was willing to give him a chance. I thought - hey ,here's a real, straight down the line red neck, doin' his best to defend those with particularily red necks. Now, alas, it seems that he's just an 'agent provocateur' (SpeloINg?)...and , while, in post-modern terms, we're not wasting our time, in modernist terms, in the old fashioned 'I'm right and your wrong' terms, we kinda are. Irish G.I. seems well versed in the 60's counterculture - waaaay too well versed. Polemics on their own aren't such a giveaway, but supraknowledgeable 60's buffs with Kevin Meyers style polemics, well, as Shakespere said...'the lady doth protest too much...'
But really ,hasn't there been an awful lot of naked internationalists recently? Not just Central Park, not just Japan (didn't see that) and Australia, not just the Social Forum, and the protest at the Social Forum...I've just gotten a text to see if I want to be part of a nude anti-war calendar, based in/comin' from, Belfast. Yep, it seems that we're all gettin our kits off for the cause , the liberation of body and mind and, that old chesnut, SOCIETY.
And it's good to use a polemicist, such as 'Irish G. I .' (how camp is THAT?!?) to launch SOMETHING ELSE ,to discuss, for example,
how 'wide' hegemony is
- is it 'form as well as content'(cf Laclau, E and Mouffe, C (1987) 'Post-Marxism without apologies' New Left Review, 166: 77-106)
..is that the Zapatistas greatest critique of traditional, even SWP style socialism.... or is that just an argument the Greeks had b4 dey were overrun and left with a few libraries, libraries where they could, eventually, find a justification for how and why they were 'overrun'....
indeed every civilization seems to have been overrun - the Tartars, the Goths, the Visgoths, the Moors, the Persians, the Macedonians all starred in the darkest of dark ages....but, as babblefish would most probably suggest, sin sceal eile....
So, finally, and in conclusion, and without meaning to sound too much/anything like 'ioasif' - isn't Irish G.I., gee I'd love to meat u and swp numeros sum time, just grate, isn't He, and won't we show him on the 15th....

Reminds me of a tract that appeared in Italy in the mid 1970's, under the name of Censor, which outlined in graphic and distasteful detail how the state must defend capitalism. A right wing tract if ever there was one, but no 'twas a revolutionary called Sanguinetti with the help of some french guy who had introduced the pamphlet to stir things up and expose the truth behind the capitalists of the day (oh how they change, not!).
Détournement was the word used by some nuts in france to describe the process where words and images are taken from their spectacular setting and used in ways that mean the opposite.
'twouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Irish GI was using the french pronunciation as in, Irish Go as If.
I think this guy is just a troll. Old Europe, New Europe? Either that or he is a poorly paid Donald Rumsfeld lackey's little brother.
So being nude is disgusting and immoral, but killing millions is not? Buddy, you need to look at your priorities.
