This is a public interest story about a complete failure of governance and management at UCC.

offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Ireland should support France and Germany

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Tuesday February 11, 2003 20:30author by Graham Caswell - Green Party Report this post to the editors

Green Party Pres Release

The Green Party today in the Dáil called on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, and the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, to 'get off the fence' and fully support the Franco-German proposal to the UN on Iraq.

"Next Monday the Taoiseach and the Minister for Foreign Affairs travel to an EU meeting to discuss the current crisis in Iraq. The French and German Governments need our backing, we must come down on the side of peace and insist that more time be given to diplomacy. This current rush to war on the part of the United States and Britain must be halted. At EU level, our Government must take a much stronger stand on this issue."

Party Chairman, John Gormley T.D., said the Franco-German proposal was now the only option that could avert a full-scale war. "Now is the time for Ireland to show its commitment to the UN and to our own Constitution by displaying our European credentials in whole-hearted support for old Europe. It is time for Brian Cowen to cease the bellicose rhetoric and to seek more creative solutions to the Iraq crisis."

"We are now behaving more like members of NATO than some of the existing members of NATO", concluded Deputy Gormley.

Not that I'm a fan of Eamon De Valera myself, but just to make the point that the current elite in Ireland are not only far from the people's values, but even their supposed forefather's...

At the time of Italy's invasion of Abyssinia in 1935 Ireland tried to sway the giants. When he was president of the League's council – the forerunner of our present-day Security Council –
Eamon de Valera proposed a League multinational force to stop Italy's 1935 aggression. He was prepared to commit his own new and tiny Irish army to such a project. The major powers were not interested. "We have been unable to bend our wills to sacrifice selfish advantage when it conflicts with justice to others," de Valera later complained.

Backing the war if the U.N is involved is a pure sell out. A U.N backed bomb is no different from any other. U.N's sanctions have killed over 1 million iraqis (not armed forces but ordinary people)doing the great job of neutralising those dangerous under five year olds (50% of the million where children simply because they are the most vulunerable to malnourishment and poor or non-existent medical facilities). That is very simple. It is estimated that 50,000 iraqis minimum will die in the war, is that acceptable if the U.N sanctions it? Who permanently sits on the U.N security council: China, Russia, the US. the UK and france all with brilliant track records in human rights and the last 3 ALL backed Saddam for years even when he gassed his own people with the weapons they supplied. U.N a force for peace? You must be joking

Martin what is your fucking point?

That Ireland should now remain neutral in the face of American Aggression?

That it is acceptable to continue on our current path because of the actions of our forefathers?

Really what is your fucking point?

Ireland should support The Eastern European EU applicant Countries and Turkey and Fully back the US and tell France and Germany that they are finished and will be outvoted in the new EU once Turkey and the Eastern European countries have full voting rights and majority voting with no undemocratic veto's to hold up wars and other issues.

Graham, the so-called Franco-German axis is one element of the imperialist led resource war drive. Their only argument with Bush and Blair is over a share of the spoils. The “proposal” could at best be described as a delaying tactic, involves the continuation of sanctions, (over a million lives have been lost already) and the occupation of Iraq by foreign troops aka “peacekeepers” and even more “inspectors”, in the past at least, some of them were CIA agents. I am amazed that John Gormley seems to take it seriously. Berlin and Paris have no concern whatsoever for the welfare of the Iraqi people, their interests are in obtaining their share of the Iraqi natural resource. Both countries have supported the Saddam Hussein regime in the past, including sales of military equipment. As have previous Washington administrations,
Bush/Blair don’t want to “liberate” the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein (a former “friend”), they want to “liberate” the oil resource of Iraq (a natural resource which should to used to rebuild the country) and fill the coffers of Multi-national Oil companies. I would suggest Graham, that the next time you bump into Trevor, you should suggest a policy change, your current one (for a party that is anti war) is somewhat flawed.
