The Derry Anti-War Coalition march from Derry to Belfast arrived in Newtownabbey this evening to complete the penultimate leg of their historic march against the impending war on Iraq by the Imperialists forces of USA and GB.

The marching band of citizens of the world were met at Newtownabbey by Independent Cllr Mark Langhammer, after some refreshments a anti-war meeting was held in Rushpark Community Centre.
Over thirty people attended the meeting.

Cllr Langhammer chaired the meeting, first to address the meeting was Jack from the New Ireland group www.newirelandgroup.com who maintained that the reason for war was Oil.
David Morrison “Trade Unionists” address the meeting with facts about Iraq WMD.
The last but by no means least to address the meeting was a slightly subdued Eamon Mc Cann “SWP” www.swp.ie Eamon told us that there was NO justification for war on Iraq, that neither the Bush nor Blair had proven any cast for war, that they had deliberately lied to the public the fact that their war was about controlling the economic interest of capitalism.

The walkers set off again at 10am Saturday from the Belleview Arms Antrim Rd “ facing Belfast Zoo” look out for their Ulster Say’s No Banner”
Tomorrow is one of the most important day’s in the history of the world, tomorrow the world SAY’S NO to Bush and his puppet Blair wish to take over the world.
Join the No to War Demo in your town tomorrow, tell Bush and Blair, OUR WORLD IS NOT FOR SALE.
