Taoiseach 'heartened' by peace march
February 18, 2003

"The Taoiseach has told the Dáil that he is 'very heartened' that one hundred thousand people turned up at the peace march in Dublin on Saturday. Mr Ahern said the marchers supported what he described as the view of every member of the Dáil, that there should be no war, but he stressed again that the way to avoid war was for Saddam Hussein to comply with UN resolutions."

Perhaps everyone who attended the march might like to send Bertie a postcard saying "US MILITARY OUT OF SHANNON NOW!", just to put him straight.

Ahern is a liar. It is the policy of the party and the class that he represents to subordinate Ireland, north and south, to the Anglo-American Empire.

Bertie is obviously deluded - perhaps megalanomanic. He seems to believe that the 100,000 + people who demonstrated against US plans for wars and against US military refuelling at Shannon Airport were somehow supporters of HIS policy of collaboration with the US war for oil.

If Bertie hasn't got the message yet, then we need to reinforce it. Anyone got a custard pie?

Sure maybe Bertie was on the march too... just that no one saw him there. But Bertie is God, he is onmiscient, so he was there!

Otherwise we are down to old adages about necks and the reproductive equipment of male equestrians.
