Beware of bogus petitions

Always very cynical about petitions anyway. The below just proves my point.

WHEN ARMCHAIR ACTIVISM BACKFIRES
Michael Serazio, AlterNet
An antiwar petition is gathering thousands of names to send
to the UN to protest war in Iraq. There's just one problem
-- it's a hoax.

Most lefty groups are barking mad. They seem to attract odd characters and sensible people run a mile from them usually, the 60,000 person so called anti war march was a flash in the pan and anyway it is tiny compared to the amount of people who vote for Fine Geal and other responsible parties of the center. While this minority was wasting their time and the media's resourses chanting their anti american slogans, Fine Geal was having a very important meeting in Dublin. Your days of anti war and other marching will come to an abrupt end once the new EU constitution is in place, this is thanks in no small part to the trojan work of our own John Bruton.

Nobody cares about raving rabble rousing fenian scum peasant loving upstarts. These horrible fenian catholic worker types, and bolshevik republicans should be lined up against the wall, and shot, for their support of peasant insurrection against American in latin america. I personally back the junta death squads in latin america, who've managed to dispose of many a stupid nun and rabble rousing priest. These republican protestors and their ilk, are just sophisticated culchie scum. They don't realise they're jeapordising their chances of imigrating to America and getting green cards. Youse will never enjoy the pleasures of las vegas and sun city losers.

more humourous fuck-ups from those fortunate enough to have always on free net access.

it takes about 1 - 2 hours on this newswire for an average person to be turned into a raving lunatic, staying this long on a dial-up isn't very likely, you'll get cut of or realise the price before reaching the threshold. Equally surfing through every post from a political view you despise will also cause you to break your dial-up connection.

thus, in conclusion only facists with free net access or ultra bored anti-fascists with free net access could possibly post so much nonsense make-fight flames with so many freudian fuck-ups.

death to broadband, bring back expensive dial-ups and frequent disconnections for a return(??????) to sensible debate.
