Green TD misses chance to speak at European Convention

Green TD John Gormley today missed his chance to speak at a meeting of the Convention on the Future of Europe being held in Brussels.

Green TD John Gormley today missed his chance to speak at a meeting of the Convention on the Future of Europe being held in Brussels. The Convention is an important platform to put social and environmental issues on the agenda, which will ultimatly go on to form the next EU Treaty.

Gorley wasn't present in the chamber, and discussion moved on without his imput. His movement on the day have yet to be accounted for, although one observer speculated that he might have been "in the pub".
