Preparations for the Meltdown Evacuation Drill of Dublin
Globalise Resistance THIS FRIDAY 6-9pm National College of Art and Design 100 Thomas Street Dublin
There has been a great response on planned anti-Sellafield protest in Dublin.
We should be able to make a real dramatic impact by organising a
"nuclear melt-down drill" and an
"emergency evacuation" of the city centre.
It has been put back to March 2nd though as the real organising
will only get going from
Friday's meeting.
200 people are planning to travel to Sellafield tomorrow and then there
will be a meeting in
National College of Art and Design from 6 to 9pm on Friday evening.
NCAD is on Thomas Street in the Liberties area of Dublin (across from the Vicar Street live music venue) and we are
going to meet in the main
concourse area which is the first door on the right when you go in the
main entrance of the
college.
The idea is to use this space for banner, props and costume making
as well as organising the
details of the protest and advertising, media work for it etc.
Everyone is welcome to come along (with or without artistic
materials/talent!) at any time during
the meeting.
Pass the word on and try to bring any materials or research material
that you think would be
useful to us on the evening.
Cardboard, paint, gasmasks, coloured smoke etc.
