MILITARY intervention against Iraq is a crime against peace demanding vengeance before God, the head of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace Archbishop Renato Raffaele Martino has said. The Pope and Sean Brady, Catholic primate of All Ireland agree with him.
We see how the US/UK treats their captured adversaries. Men in Guantanamo Bay and others being daily tortued in the Bhagram base north of Kabul where Irish Soldiers are stationed.
The Mujahideen, Talibs and innocents captured in Afghanistan are not invaders or acting in any way illegally. They were defending their homes . So how much worse must be the treatment for sodiers who invade a country illegally and kill hundreds of civilians. The Apache helicopter pilots will surely suffer a swift and just death, as is their payment due for crimes against the innocent Iraqi people.
Bishop John Michael Botean, the head of the Romanian Catholic eparchy (diocese) of St. George in Canton, Ohio declared with "moral certainty" that the proposed attack on Iraq "does not meet even the minimal standards of the Catholic just-war theory."
Now they are designating Basra as a "Military target", this means all humans in Basra can be murdered .
