Gang of youths attacks army camp
A gang of nationalist youths attacked an army camp with petrol bombs in Derry tonight.
The devices were thrown into the camp at Bishop's Street in the city shortly after 9pm.
A number of youths were seen running away afterwards towards the Rossville Street area.
There were no reports of any injuries and the area was reported to be quiet.

they are labor aristocracy--so-called workers transformed into a petty bourgeoise from the loot thrown to tnem from the U$/UK Empire.
At least nationalist youth have a consciousness of political repression and a history of relative deprivation when compared to the loyalists.
although Sinn Fein and the Americans are working on that.
Moron.
The only way throwing petrol bombs will inflame the masses is if they are standing directly under them! All your nationalist youths will do is strengthen the hand of the State to hit hard on the anti-war and workers movement. You should know this by now after 30 years of your 'armed struggle' but you have learned nothing. Do we have to live through the infantilism of the 1970's again? The Red Brigades in Italy ruined everything, Baader Meinhoff, IRA, all you terrorist groups scare the majority of workers into supporting Thatcher/Blair, Berlosconi, Pinochet, Bush ultra-right wing leaders. Continue the bombs and the people will look to Mr. Aherne again!
And all this swp/sp squabbling is losing ground by the acre. Narrow-minded fuckheads. Get it together.
It is mad trot groups groups that piss off and "scare the majority of workers into supporting Thatcher/Blair, Berlosconi, Pinochet, Bush ultra-right wing leaders"
Most workers get tired of the empty trot slogans, the endless stupid marches to empty buildings and lack of action or courage.
To both tough luck thatīs what happens when you put on an army uniform or use violent means.
But I have the inclination to support the underdog, i.e, the person not hiding being bulletproof windows and metal/concrete walls.
because obviously what the sp/swp are doing in regard to building the iawm, nationally and locally is shamed by this heroic feat of 'taking it to the brits' - or chucking a few petrol bombs and running away. where do isign up?
Headline: "Peace" protestors petrol bomb barracks
One protestor said "the possibility of peace is enhanced by the possibility of killing a few brits"
Another added "sure any excuse will do me"
The working class are the group in society that make up the vast majority of the population, the workers are key in the economic process and therefore have the key role to play in any lasting alternative or any serious attempt to stop the war.
I'm all for Direct Action tactics when it is productive. When it raises awareness and it puts govt under pressure. But in the Long term it's only workers that can stop the war.
if they had they might even have had 1 or 2 successfull revolutions in the last 100 years! Or they might shut down Shannon and pigs might fly.
