CCTV Footage
I have recieved a number of e-mails from people acquainted with some people who work at banks along Dame street. CCTV cameras belonging to these banks will have recorded a lot of what went on from right there.
I have recieved a number of e-mails from people acquainted with some people who work at banks along Dame street. CCTV cameras belonging to these banks will have recorded a lot of what went on from right there. I have pretty definite information that the Ulster Bank Cameras recorded the events. Some members of staff have passed on this information but are not willing to come forward about it.
Solicitors need to ensure that CCTV footage in the posession of the Guards and Businesses in the vicinity of the protest events is not 'accidentaly' wiped - taped over or whatever.
If you have a solicitor get them to make Phonecalls about this straight away to businesses on the Quays/College Green/Dame Street.
The Herald is calling on the Cops to release the CCTV footage publically so this is going to become an issue. Garda reps raised the possibility that the cameras were not pointed in the right direction at Dame Street when on the Pat Kenny Radio Show yesterday. Much more likely is the use of the cameras to get good full face shots of the protesters. This is what the CCTV was doing last year at RTS Car Free Day
The same CCTV footage got Wolfe from IMC off on charges against him in the aftermath of the Car Free Day RTS last year. It confirmed he was doing absolutely nothing out of order and the case against him was thrown out of court. Hopefully it will do the same for everyone arrested monday.
