PIcket spanish embassy! Protest against support to war and repression.

We invite you to join us in picketing the spanish embassy next tuesday 1st of April at 12 noon, against spanish support of this ilegal war and against the repression of spanish police against people exercicing their right to demonstrater against it.We also include a letter of protest for spanish ambassador in ireland.

Last tuesday 25th a group of us decided to piket the spanish embassy in Dublin in protest for the spanish government support for the war oppossed by the 90% of the spanish people (and autonomous communiities)as well as in response to the brutality of police against demonstrators exercicig their free right. We have decided to continue with these pickets until they stop this ilegal war. We encourage you to do the same in your area and we include a sample letter of protest to the spanish ambassador in your country.Go for it!! Let them know that their support does not represent the will of the people.

Dear Sir,

We the undersigned (from the Spanish state and of other nationalities) wish to express our profound rejection of the foreign policy of the Spanish government in its support for the illegal war against the people of Iraq. This war is being carried out against the will of the majority of the population who do not feel represented by this decision.

We feel extremely worried that our carrying a Spanish passport may identify us as accomplices in this atrocious crime. We also wish to condemn the repression by state police forces of demonstrators who were exercising their right to publicly oppose this war. We regret enormously the loss of democratic liberties which took so much struggle to win and which we treasure so much.

Los abajo firmantes (del estado espaòol y de otras nacionalidades)deseamos hacer constar nuestro profundo rechazo a la política exterior del gobierno espaòol en su apoyo a la guerra illegal en contra del pueblo iraquí. Esta guerra se está llevando a cabo en contra de la voluntad de la mayoria de la población que no se siente representada por esta decisión.
Nos sentimos profundamente preocupados de que el llevar un pasaporte espaòol nos identifique como cómplices de este crimen atroz. Además queremos expresar nuestro repudio a la actuación de los cuerpos policiales del estado contra manifestantes que han estado ejerciendo su derecho a expresarse publicamente contra esta guerra. Lamentamos enormemente la perdida de las libertades democráticas por las que tanto se ha luchado y que tanto valoramos.
