Preliminary military report with map 28 March 2003
This report draws a number of conclusions about the war, amoung them:
The current redeployment of US troops being sent to Iraq to reinforce troops after 9 days of fighting is because the US has
underestimated the enemy and the coalition force was insufficient for the operation at hand.
The distribution of forces has neglected all basic rules of combat
The US advance is disorganized and is having difficulty holding captured territory.
The current stop in the advance on Karbala is due to coalition forces encountering heavier losses then anticipated during the sand storms, more than 200 vehicles and 70 Helicopters being disabled.
