I received this help from a family member in Spain this morning:
...a way o protest that they do here for the
war, it's called a "caserolada". What you do is that they organised a
particular night and a certain time where eveyone turns off their lights and
goes outside, whether on the street or wherever just outside and starts
banging on a frying pan or a pot or summit, its really good.
I know that a protest like this is happening next Friday but perhaps we could start organising it in small neighbourhoods, in or near American companies / FF TDs clinics etc?

I'm a cop. I like to dress in blue. I trained at Templemore in multiple policing techniques so that I might spend my sunny afternoons infiltrating a free and open discussion internet board. I really hope you are taking the piss Hugh.
I am a 30 year old researcher who lives and works in Dublin city who has been reasonably active in the anti-war movement / various left orgs since 1991. Last Weds evening I sat on a cold road alongside other protestors. The Saturday before and the Saturday before that I marched my way through Dublin hoping to stop an insane war. Many SP and ISN members and other sympathisers can attest to this. No, I'm wrong of course because I am a liar!

Hugh: I can stand a good piss take but not be called a liar. This defamation has to stop please. I did not try my best to put it down, merely questioned the ways in which some organisers of protests exaggerate numbers. I can meet you at the next clinic demo and we can have a good chat about it then. Many people on IMC IRL ignore what I say but doesn't bother me. Lots of people are ignored - this personal attack included.

Yes Yes this kind of personal asault will only serve to take away from the fact that we should all stand together on this, we all have ideas and can contribute in whatever way we think will be positive....including questioning our own actions and motives!!

Furthermore, I was the family member who suggested this caserolada and I think its a good idea. If this is not a joke, I would ask you all to stop this stupid squabling and get on with "the job"
Oh...and yes I tried to join the Mosso de Squadra over here but the wouldn't let me cos I couldn't hit people in catalan.
I'm really really dissappointed that this was the only comment so far that I saw concerning this idea...I was only trying to help. This gives me further incentive to stay wawy from my country even if I live in one which has a fascist egotist as a primeminister at least people know how to stick together in matters of protest here!!
PS. Correction they let me in to the Mosso cos I had a cool code name called Bimo. I'm now undercover and do my best to try to bring down antiwar movements in other countries particularly those in south dublin suburbs
