Pat Kenny Show 11.40 approx

Pat Kenny issued a statement on his show this morning counteracting the lie that they had been spreading up until the 9.00am news on Radio 1 this morning. He said RTE had been contacted by AFP who had described the story as a "hoax".

I would suggest "Black Propaganda" wouuld be a more accurate description of that emotive story that had relatives of sodiers fighting in Iraq very upset . But why worry about being accurate if your a monolith like RTE who need only answer to its own Politbureau and the Government

James RTE are not all to blame on this. Pot Kenny is probably scared that if he tells the truth a stealth bomber will drop a 'smart' bomb on him. There's been a lot of that going on with media who don't toe the official 'look at the gold taps not the civilian casualties line'

This is the problem with this site - RTE read a story off a wire, the wire service is guilty of sending out a hoax, and what does this fucking idiot do? Has a go at RTE? There is actually a world outside Ireland and sometimes, y'know, important stuff happens there, too. The whole of the Irish left is playing these dumb games, putting all their energies into things with vague connections and thus letting the murders of the US/UK act with impunity. It's like obsessing about the Irish army when they're connected with the U.S. army - apparently the ignorance of human rights by the USA is not worth talking about, but an Irish connection five times removed is.

"Earthquake in Bombay; No Irish Injured" is the type of headline I'm waiting to see on this site.

Did you notice french writing all over the barrels? Coincidence?

We won't know if it is a hoax or not until it is further tested.

AFP were only denying the story because it was they who had issued the earlier report that RTE chose to run with.

It was denied by the 101st Airborne themselves.
