category national | miscellaneous | news report author Sunday April 20, 2003 18:39author by Ailin

Approx 250 people gathered today at the GPO in Dublin for the annual RSF Easter commemoration.

Apologies for the bad sound in places as it was very windy.

If there were 250 people there, how come they were too shy too appear on camera?

Come off it!

Did you sell any cigarettes at the GPO?

No crowd footage was included because people could be identified from it. If you want footage of the crowd maybe you should ask the special branch who were filming the crowd from their very "inconspicuous" jeep seen in the picture above.

Not to worry about the wind - there was a fair bit of wind coming out of Des Long as well. Pity you didn't catch the panoramic views of the masses marching behind you - I'm sure the anti-war marches paled in comparison.

Oh well, same again next year for O'Brodaigh's lumbering dinosaurs!

If the Branch were filming anyway it makes even less sense not to give us punters a view of some RSF mugs. Or is it all a big secret, how few were there I mean.
