Just want to moot the point of celebrating MayDay at Shannon this year. Maybe it'd be stretching the original point of RTS but a protest at the continued use of Shannon by the new Occupying army in the mideast would be in keeeping with the trad mayday...
Anyhow, while a protest in Dublin will no doubt be a pro-environment gig and not a bad thing, i Cant help but feel that the celebration would be more apt at shannon both in solidarity with the planespotters and as a direct protest to the Guards/army/ government over the mangling of the UN charter.
The war is continuing after all.

unfortunately though, i think its a bit late to arrange anything like the incentive you would need to get everyone out of the dublin pubs.
*interestingly for all irish-speakers out there, they serve 'Ishka' water in-flight
Great idea, why not turn it into a mayday kite festival, lots of shiny foil strips on the tails, any of you out there got power kites? And we could let off a van-load of foil helium balloons....
Examiner quotes 50,000 U.S troops have passed through Shannon this year
always have a good turnout. This year it's on a Thursday. I'll be lucky to get into Dublin for Mayday.
Good idea tho. Possibly next year with the Americas new war....Serria??
Stupid Idea. Let's go piss the guards off. Look at me I'm an anarchist I want to smah shit up. Wait I'm an Irish anarchist. I don't even know how to be a good anarchist. Please tell me how to fuck shit up now.
Interesting idea.
An rts at Shannon to coincide with a major policing event elsewhere in Munster....
