Most of you probably know of this already, but for those who haven't heard: Critical Mass Bike Ride this Saturday Meet 2.30pm Garden of Remembrance, Parnell St The last Critical Mass was held in Dublin in the autumn on Car-Free day. It ended with a Reclaim the Streets festival on O'Connell Street. Lasted for about 45 minutes before the pol-eece came and treated passers-by to the spectacle of cops beating up cyclists and dragging pedestrians off the streets on European Car Free day.

not true, the last critical mass was on the last saturday in january, and ended with no reclaim the streets style action outside the copshop at the top of o'connell street. i wouldn't be expecting anything like that to happen on saturday, either (unless you! want to make it happen, of course), but the cycle should be a good one nonetheless. CM is really a seperate entity in its own right, and i reckon thats how it should stay.
