We take our trade unions right to exist for granted
The above website gives a review of trade union rights even existence under threat in many parts of the world. I appreciate that our own trade unions are not perfect democracies but they were built againts a background of ferociuos opposition by the capitalist class. In other countries it is a world where the Larkins and Connollys go about their work in danger of disappearing. There are posts lauding the regime in Columbia here. This is a country with a bad record on trade unions so say the least.
