Indymedia Ireland is be having it's first meeting since the site went up. If you're interested in taking an active involvement in the site, or want to get a better understanding of how Indymedia.ie works, come along to Conways pub 2pm Saturday, the 2nd of March
Indymedia Ireland is a media collective run under the principle of “open publishing”. Meaning everyone can publish news they deem as important. This same philosophy of active participation governs all aspects of Indymedia.ie Simply put anyone who wants to get involved can.
People who are interested in participating in the administration, or a technical aspect, of managing and up keeping of the website, are welcome to attend. Or if you want contribute to the site, as a writer, photographer, or with video, or audio, but aren't sure how, come along.
The working agenda is as follows;
Technical
Editorial.
Fundraising.
Promotion.
Indymedia involvement in the upcoming Sellafield Protest.
Indymedia Italy. It’s been proposed that after the meeting we’ll go down to the Italian embassy to protest the recent Italian police raids on Indymedia Italy.
The meeting will take place upstairs in Conways Pub, 70 Parnell St. at 2pm Sharp. To reach Conways, walk down to the end of O’Connell St., turning left at “The Ambassador.” Conways pub is a few doors up on the left hand side.

I am Winters Negbenebor, the contact person for Nigeria IMC. i am aware you have a meetng comming up soonest. I will like ti witness your meeting, share some ideas with you and also learn from your organising. I am currently in London . You can ring me for us to make arrangement on comming over to Irland briefly for the meeting and also pay a short solidarity visit to the Ireland IMC.
