Meeting in The Strand, Omeath.
The routine February meeting of Cooley Environmental and Health Group will be many faceted and will probably set a busy and full agenda for this small but innovative group for the rest of 2004 and beyond.
A many-faceted meeting of Cooley Environmental and Health Group (CEHG) will take place in The Strand, Omeath, on Sunday 29 February 2004 commencing at 11.30 a.m. sharp.
Sean Crudden will give a report on the latest LEADER + county board meeting.
Maureen Kettle of LOCUS, Belfast, will be present to outline a forthcoming cross-border training program in which CEHG are likely to participate.
The financial aspects of the recent successful Winter Workshop organised by CEHG - “Fabrication, Machinery, Dundalk and the Environment” - will be finalised.
A preliminary discussion will take place about the report “Cancer Mortality and Morbidity in Co Louth” (which was presented to CEHG last December by Dr Dennis G Pringle of the Department of Geography in NUI Maynooth).
Plans for a round-table conference on cancer research will be finalised. The “round-table” is scheduled to take place in The Strand, Omeath, on Sunday 18 April starting at 3.00 p.m.
