This link contains a list of children Bush & Cheney have butchered & massacred. The U.S. military has abandoned the bodycount in its recent military adventures.

The list below contains a some ot he young men and women sent to their deaths by Bush & Cheney. Both Bush & Cheney were Vietnam War draft evaders. Bush through a sweetheart deal with the National Guard and Cheney with a series of deferments. No member of Congree has a son or daughter in the U.S. military.

Many of the young men and women listed here travelled to their deaths through Shannon Airport, County Clare.

Protesters 'drive' Bush from Ireland

Saturday, June 26, 2004 Posted: 9:38 AM EDT (1338 GMT)

CLARECASTLE, Ireland (Reuters) -- Irish protesters used Shakespeare to blitz George W. Bush on Saturday, invoking Macbeth, a ghost and a witch to cast a spell on the U.S. president and drive him, symbolically at least, from Irish soil.

Some 500 demonstrators marched on Dromoland Castle, the 16th century turreted mansion in western Ireland where Bush met European Union leaders for a summit.

When they were stopped at a police road block, they staged their own version of Shakespeare's bloody Scottish tragedy.

First, a ghost with a whited-out face read the names of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq. Then a woman dressed as Lady Macbeth read a list of Iraqi victims.

Finally, a woman dressed as a witch with a black pointy hat and a flowing cape cast a spell on a man wearing a Bush face mask. The man crumpled to the floor as the witch ordered him to leave Ireland and end the occupation of Iraq.

The protesters held up a banner adorned with a quote from Macbeth, Shakespeare's powerful drama of death, destruction and ambition in feudal Scotland.

"There's the smell of blood still," read the banner, on which was painted a gory hand. "All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand."

Some 50 police officers watched the drama unfold from behind their roadblock, just half a mile from the castle where Bush was staying for the EU-U.S. summit. The protest passed peacefully and the crowd dispersed after around 90 minutes.

The staging of "MacBush" was one of several events organised by demonstrators to show their anger with the president's visit.

The CNN article, 'Protesters 'drive' Bush from Ireland' also mentioned other US presidents who had visited Ireland, and I just want to correct a couple of their mistakes.

"Bush's visit has contrasted sharply with those of previous U.S. presidents who were warmly welcomed in Ireland -- particularly those with Irish roots."

"John F. Kennedy was greeted with almost religious fervor in 1963, Ronald Reagan had a pub named after him in his ancestral village in Tipperary when he came in 1994 and thousands of well wishers greeted Bill Clinton when he came to Dublin."

Although Reagan did have a pub named after him, there were very large protests, particularly in Dublin. Much of the focus of those protests related to US foreign policy in Central America in general, and Nicaragua in particular.
There is also some doubt about the authenticity of his ancestral connection with that particular village, some people think his ancestors came from a different place in Ireland.

The CNN report omited to mention the visit of Richard Nixon (1973?). There were protests then too - against the Vietnam War. In Dublin someone also threw something at the limousine Nixon was travelling in. That incident happened near Dublin Castle.

In general, US presidents from the Republican Party have met with more opposition in Ireland than presidents from the Democratic Party. The American Republican Party is regarded in Ireland as an aggressive right-wing pro-imperialist party, something which goes against the grain in Ireland with it's history of anti-imperialist struggle.

We hoped for enough folks to carry the trees (25). 300 set off with us for the 4 mile walk to gardai lines on the way to Dromoland. Great weather, good vibe (very mixed crew), excellent drumming trio from Galway.

SWP buses speed by with a mile to go.
SWP try to block our path-they fail!
SWP try to lead us-they fail!
SWP try to drown us out-they fail!

Auditioned witch and Lady Macbeth can;t make it-understudies Jan and Caoimhe rise to the occasion (and I wasn't bad meself as Banquo!).

SWP try to drown out trees reading the names of dead Iraqi children, their ages when they were massacred and how the U.S. military killed them (these folks have no respect for the dead!)

We played a support role to the Eoin Rice to put Bush in cage (ya gotta love the guy and the crew carrying the cage!) also for the great folks who lay under black plastic in the heat symbolising the dead!

Sounds like it was great at Shannon on Friday and Saturday (events airbrushed outta history by the IAWM- who refused to mention them in their long litany of significant events over the weekend-from the stage!) These people complain about Stalin airbrushing their boy Trotsky outta photos and the Dublin City Council ripping down their posters. They could teach Uncle Joe and the DCC a lot about censorship.

Day concluded for us with a walk back to Clare Castle and an invite by a local for a cup of tea.

Beyond our wildest expectations. Thanx to all who made it happen!
