Green Party leader Trevor Sargent has criticised the Government for not allowing members of the Opposition to see a document on neutrality before it is debated in Europe.
The Government will call on European Union leaders to support its declaration on neutrality at the Summit in Seville this weekend. Mr Sargent said that the matter should have been debated in the Dáil first.
The Minister of State for European Affairs, Dick Roche, said the declaration will be debated in the Dáil in due course. This is an obvious delaying tactic on behalf of the Govt.
